The Signum Quartet is characterized by the highest intensity, the finest differentiations and ruthless expressiveness, intimacy and vitality. The coherent dramaturgy in the program design is implemented with uncompromising perfection and natural lightness of interpretation. (“enormously clever and knowledgeable programming“—Rondo Magazin)

As a welcome guest at the Paris Philharmonie, the London Wigmore Hall, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Cologne Philharmonie, the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie and at the BBC Proms, the Signum Quartet regularly gives concerts with partners such as Nils Mönkemeyer, Dominique Horwitz, Jörg Widmann, Daniel Ottensamer, Nicolas Altstaedt and Elisabeth Leonskaja. The Carnegie Hall debut is scheduled for 2023.

The Signum Quartet’s discography demonstrates its stylistic range: in addition to the greats of quartet literature, they have also recorded works by Wolfgang Rihm, Thomas Adès, Jörg Widmann and Kevin Volans. Her recording for ECM of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s 2nd string quartet Lost Prayers has won the award for Classical Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards 2021 .

Signum Quartet will perform on the 3rd February at 20:15 in the Grote Zaal of the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ. Buy your tickets here!
